Pet Of the Week
HOSS AND LITTLE JOE
The 25-pound “Maine-Coon-size cats” Hoss and Little Joe (named after characters in the TV series “Bonanza”), were adopted from the Community Animal Network and need our help again.
Unfortunately, their pet-parent has died, leaving the 11-year-old brothers in an empty house while the estate is being handled. They appeared at the network’s Fashion Island pet adoptions last weekend very stressed and seeking to hide.
The network is realizing the need for a “Life Program” to protect the cats that have been rescued. The network’s board of directors is reviewing the costs of a program like this and will make a presentation to the public in hopes for donations.
It has cost about $500 in exams, which included senior blood panels, to get these two cats back into the network and ready for adoption. Donations are welcome that help support this work.
FYI: Samantha had her kittens Tuesday.
