‘Carnita’ makes a library visit

A pig named Carnita made a surprise visit to the Newport Beach Central Library on Wednesday morning, while Councilman Steve Rosansky read a story to toddlers there.

Rosansky read a story about a pig named Olivia to children as part of National Library Week. Carnita dropped in dressed as the character from the book during the event.

National Library Week events will continue at 10:30 a.m. today with stories presented by Council members Ed Selich and Leslie Daigle at the library, 1000 Avocado Ave. Councilman Don Webb will read to children at the library at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
