Mayor looking for tech-savvy staff

Newport Beach is looking for volunteers to serve on its new Citizens Technology Task Force, which Mayor Keith Curry wants to form to share ideas about how technology can make local government more efficient.

The mayor is looking for people with backgrounds in computer networking, security system administration, software, database or enterprise applications.

The task force is slated to begin meeting in late April and will complete its work by July 31.
