Seats open on local boards
The Newport Beach City Council is looking for volunteers to serve four-year terms on various city boards and commissions.
Eight open seats on local boards will be up for grabs when existing terms expire June 30.
There will be three vacancies on the Harbor Commission, two on the Parks, Beaches and Recreation Commission and one opening each on the Board of Library Trustees, City Arts Commission and Planning Commission.
The deadline for applications is 4 p.m. May 13. More information and applications are available at the Newport Beach City Clerk’s office, 3300 Newport Blvd.
