Children’s librarian and storyteller Barbara Richardson will be in her bathrobe and slippers as she presents stories and songs at this month’s Family Evening Pajama Storytime in honor of Children’s Book Week at the Huntington Beach Central Library.

Richardson will be reading “Book! Book! Book!” by Deborah Bruss, “Read It, Don’t Eat It!” by Ian Schoenherr and more, as well as teaching songs from Barney, such as “The Library” and “Books are Great,” as part of an effort to encourage reading.

National Charity League Inc. will be providing cookies after story time. The half-hour event will be in the Tabby Theater. Admission is free, but space is limited. Call (714) 375-5107.
