Class raises money for wildlife fund
Jan Muholland’s students at John H. Eader Elementary School have already raised $300 for the World Wildlife Fund, but the final count is expected to exceed previous records.
In honor of Earth Day, the third- and fourth-grade combination class has been raising money by selling 25-cent raffle tickets at lunch. For three years, Muholland’s classes have been raising wildlife awareness through helping charitable causes.
“This is a way to show them that they can make a difference no matter how old they are,” she said.
Raffle tickets will be on sale until Friday. Two raffles will be drawn, and the winners will take home a large stuffed elephant or a big box full of smaller prizes.
