First, a sweet treat for free: Häagen-Dazs (local locations at Fashion Island and South Coast Plaza, as well as 2743 E. Coast Hwy. in Corona del Mar) is giving away free ice cream to celebrate its 50th anniversary from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Partake in your choice of chocolate, vanilla or coffee — the company’s three original flavors.

Hurley throws warehouse sale

A perennial favorite, the Hurley warehouse sale is back through Sunday — this time at 1880 E. St. Andrews Place in Santa Ana. The Costa Mesa-based lifestyle clothing company will offer their wares from noon to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at up to 75% off.

The right one is out there

Future brides are making their plans to be at the semi-annual sample sale Sunday at the White Dress, 2853 E. Coast Hwy. in Corona del Mar. Doors open at 8 a.m. for this ultra-popular event, which sees jaw-dropping prices (up to 90% off!) on gowns by designers like Elizabeth Fillmore, Melissa Sweet and Modern Trousseau. Buy Dakota for less

One of the area’s most on-trend manufacturers, the Dakota Collective, will have its sample sale from noon to 6 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 1640 Pomona Ave. in Costa Mesa. Typically, nothing is more than $40 — and prices will be slashed by up to 85%. Brands include BB Dakota, Jack BB Dakota, Cheap Monday, Corpus and EcoSkin. Bring cash.

Worth the drive

Love surf culture, and up for a further trek? Be sure to stop by the Killer Dana Warehouse Sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 32891 Calle Perfecto, San Juan Capistrano. Get up to 75% off clothing including tees, hoodies, bathing suits and wetsuits from brands like Quiksilver and Hurley, as well as some steals on surfboards, which will be $300.
