U.S. Bank robbed

Laguna Beach police and the FBI are looking for a suspect who robbed the U.S. Bank at 310 Glenneyre St. at 12:40 p.m. today and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash, Lt. Jason Kravetz said.

Employees told police that a male suspect entered the bank and approached an available teller with a note in his hand, Kravetz said. The note indicated the suspect was robbing the bank. The teller complied with the suspect’s demands and gave him an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect fled the bank on foot and was last seen southbound on Second Street.

The suspect is described as a male in his 30s wearing blue jeans and a light-colored shirt. No weapon was seen or used during the robbery. No employees or customers were injured as a result of the incident.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation was notified and agents responded to the location to provide assistance.
