Fundraising event will help children

Boys Hope Girls Hope of Southern California is holding its 13th annual Evening of Hope on Sunday, said Executive Director Robin Sinclair.

The fundraising event, will feature a performance by 2008 Tony Award winner Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein’s “South Pacific.”

The event is set to begin with cocktails at 4:30 p.m. followed by a dinner at the Westin Hotel. South Pacific is scheduled to begin at 6:30 at The Orange County Performing Arts Center.

About 180 guests are expected to attend, she said.

Among those sponsoring the event are the Ben & Carmela Du Family Foundation, Mark Chapin Johnson Foundation and the Kirwan Family Foundation.

“We’re so grateful for our sponsors and we would like to acknowledge our generous sponsors,” Sinclair said.

Boys Hope Girls Hope gives abused or neglected children a chance to turn their lives around.
