Weekend events will remember woman killed in wreck

Friends will hold a paddleout Sunday for Julie Allen, the former Corona del Mar High School track star who was killed in a 10-car crash Jan. 15.

Surfers and other paddlers will gather on boards at the Santa Ana River Jetties in Newport Beach at 10 a.m.

Another remembrance is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday in the bowl area of Fountain Valley High School, 17816 Bushard St.
