Steven G. Shafer

Steven G. Shafer passed away suddenly in Huntington Beach, California on January 29, 2011. He was 65 years of age. Steve was born on October 24, 1945 in Orange, California. He spent his early years in Costa Mesa, and attended Newport Harbor High School. He was employed by Albertson’s, Inc. in Orange County for 35 years. He retired in 1999 from Retail Clerks. Steve is survived by his father, John R. Shafer, his daughters Stephanie A. Shafer and Lisa Marie Jacobson, and his loving grandson, Hunter Jacobson. Steve had many friends and always loved a good laugh. He was an avid football fan, and he loved to camp, fish, and socialize with his many friends. Steve had a passion for cooking and loved to cook Italian and Mexican food. He had a huge heart and to know him truly was to love him. Steve’s wishes were to be cremated. Services will be held at a later date.
