Marian Brown Hall

Marian was born September 1, 1911 in Medford, OR and passed away on January 20, 2011 in Woodland Hills, CA at the age of 99. Marian was married to Dixi Gail Hall in 1933 until his death in 2003. They had two sons, Charles and Peter who preceded both parents in death. She had six grandchildren. Peter’s children: Corina, and Anna live in NY and Eden in Rancho Santa Margarita. Charles’ children: Wendy lives in Byron Bay Australia, Todd in Arcadia CA, and Renee in Cypress CA. Marian also had seven great grandchildren. Marian and Dixi resided in Michigan, Chicago, Laguna Beach, Dana Point and Warner Springs.
Dixi was active in the Pageant of the Masters and designed the program covers for many years. They owned the Dixi Hall art supply store and gallery in Laguna Beach. One of Marian’s most fond memories was a trip around the world she took with Chapman College in 1969. She was an avid knitter and did the crossword puzzle every day. She was a woman of class and vitality; she will be sincerely missed by our family. Thanks goes out to Lynn Wolfe for all you did for her and for us. The family will hold private services. In lieu of flowers, at Marian’s request, please have a martini!
