Anne Boyd Lester

Anne Boyd Lester passed away February 13, 2011, at her home in Bluffton, South Carolina.
She was born on October 4, 1931, to George Tilford Boyd and Clara Mae Davis. She was the youngest of 10 children; 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
After graduating from high school, she went on to become an airline stewardess and fashion model in the 1950s and 1960s. She met her husband John, who had glimpsed her on the “Ed Sullivan Show” many years before and had since, unknowingly, hired her as his secretary, in Oakland, California, in 1964. They were married on August 21, 1965.
She is survived by her brother William, her loving husband John Brice Lester, daughter and son-in-law Michele and Thomas Naddy, son and daughter-in-law Mike and Jodi Lester, and her 5 grandchildren Ryan, Logan, Griffin, Christian, and Meghan. She has gone to join her siblings Carl, Elgie, Wilborn, Ola, Letha, Evelyn, Willard Clifton, (little) Richard, and her beloved parents.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday February 17, 2011, at 10:30 AM, at The Island Funeral Home and Crematory, 4 Cardinal Road, Hilton Head. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
A lover of life and family, she will be missed by those who knew her and continue to love her.
