Tania Allard peacefully passed on to a better place on May 3, 2011 in Vista, CA. with the immediate family at her bedside, after a gallant and brave six and one-half month stand against the most insidious type of lung cancer. She was born with a heart of gold on January 7, 1935 in Columbia, California, known as the Heart of the Mother Lode gold country. Married in Laguna Beach to John Allard on September 12, 1953, she accompanied him to New Haven, Conn. There for two years, she facilitated his graduation from Yale University in 1955 with her unwavering support and assistance. She was a unique, elegant, classy and beautiful lady. Her life-long passion was to maintain a lovely home and environment for her children, husband, friends and animals. She was a Model Mom to all. Her children considered her “the best Mom on earth”. Although a somewhat private and shy person, she was a generous, bighearted and giving person, and always could be found doing good deeds to others without the slightest thought of her own well-being. She was a nature, music, art and animal lover. Her current Maltese dog, Angelina, brought her innumerable days of joy and happiness. She was known by many as “the prettiest girl and lady in town” during her 46 plus years residency in Corona Del Mar, CA. prior to moving to the Vista/Oceanside, Ca. area approximately 13 years ago. She will be sorely missed by all who loved and adored her.

She is survived by her husband John of Oceanside; brothers, Dmitri Taras and Peter Taras; sons, Michael Allard and Christopher Allard; daughter, Jennifer Munson.
