Philong “Phillip” Huynh, has been convicted on all counts in the 2008 murder and sexual assault of 23-year old Dane Williams, who was later found dead in an alley near Huynh’s home.

The 39-year old Huynh was charged with murder and a special circumstance allegation of murder during sodomy or oral copulation in Williams’ death.

Williams, an intern with Hurley International, was in San Diego to attend the Action Sports Retailers Convention.

He was last seen alive in the early morning hours of Jan. 26, 2008, as he left the Hard Rock Cafe in the Gaslamp district.

Three days later his body was found in an alley about a block from Huynh’s residence.

An autopsy performed on Williams was unable to determine a cause of death.

Huynh is also charged with sodomizing a second intoxicated young man last year.

DNA evidence collected in that case allegedly tied Huynh to Williams’ murder.

Huynh faces life in prison without parole.
