Charlotte Henderson Nourse

Nourse, Charlotte Henderson, 80, of Costa Mesa, CA, passed away peacefully on July 1st, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. The youngest of 9 children, Charlotte was born on February, 18th, 1931, in Los Angeles and was raised in Azusa, CA. She met the love of her life, Peter W. Nourse in 1955, and after a brief 8 year courtship, married in 1963. Soon after, they settled down in Corona del Mar where they raised their 3 children. Charlotte was such a kind and loving person and had a real soft spot for animals, rescuing and caring for a myriad of sick and injured critters that would turn up in her yard. She kept a “zoo” full of pets in the house which greatly entertained and delighted her children. Once the kids were grown and out of the house, Charlotte and Peter caught the travel bug and embarked upon 55 cruises all across the globe.
Charlotte is survived by her loving husband, Peter, children, Susan Nourse Smith (Geoff), Peter Nourse, Jr. (Aimee), Cheryl Nourse, and granddaughters, Sophy and Finley Nourse.
Charlotte, you were such an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and friend, with your ever abundant love, kind heart, and wonderful sense of humor; we will miss you so very much, but find great comfort in knowing that you are smiling down upon us from Heaven.
Private services will be held for family and friends on July 8th.
