As the city works to revitalize neighborhoods and districts around Newport Beach, it has established “citizen advisory panels” to give residents and business owners a way to provide their opinions. Each of the four areas under consideration have meetings in August:

•Lido Village/City Hall: 4 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Newport Beach Public Library Friend’s Room, 1000 Avocado Ave.;
•Balboa Village: 4 to 5:30 p.m. Aug. 23 at the Nautical Museum, 600 E. Bay Ave.;
•West Newport on Coast Highway landscaping: 4 to 5:30 p.m. Aug. 24 at the City Hall Fire Conference Room, 3300 Newport Blvd.; and
•Corona Del Mar entry: 4 to 5:30 p.m. Aug. 31 at the Oasis Senior Center, Room 4, 801 Narcissus Ave.
