Irvine cops bust burglary suspects in Anaheim
Three men suspected in multiple burglaries countywide were arrested by Irvine police while breaking into a home in Anaheim, authorities said Friday.
John Uy, 22, of Garden Grove, Vienai Lin, 29, of La Puente, and Tony Kingkeo, 27, of Long Beach were arrested Wednesday.
The suspects were seen by police driving around residential Irvine, Lt. Julia Engen of the Irvine Police Department said in a statement.
Officers followed the men to Anaheim, where they saw them break into the rear of the home, police said.
A fourth man, described as Asian, about 6 feet tall, in his 20s, and wearing a white hooded sweat shirt and white tennis shoes, was seen fleeing the area.
Police believe he fled in a taxi.
The three men were booked at the Orange County Jail for the residential burglary in Anaheim, conspiracy and participation in a criminal street gang.
Police said that since March 2010, residential homes in Irvine have been broken into between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Burglars enter the rear of the homes and have stolen cash, jewelry, firearms and valuables.
