Obituary - Phyllis Eleanor Linder
Phyllis Eleanor Linder, age 91, died November 6, 2011 after a brief illness. She was born in Minneapolis, the daughter of Rev. E.O. Franklin and Adla Sophia (Dahl) Franklin. While attending the Univ. of Minn, she met and married L.H. (Roy) Linder, PhD (1917-2005). Eleanor and Roy and their 3 children moved to Costa Mesa in 1959, when Roy became Manager of Technical Information Services at Ford-Aeronutronic. After her retirement from the purchasing department of Fairview State Hospital, she expressed her love of travelling with trips to China, Japan, Antarctica, Egypt, Turkey, Scandinavia, Alaska, Europe, and ancient sites around the Mediterranean. In recent years she continued to enjoy gardening, archaeology lectures, dance performances, art museums, Tai Chi classes, lunches with friends, and a lot of reading. She is survived by her sister Corrine Janecke of Austin, MN, and her children Jean, Ann, and Bruce Linder.
