Visit Newport taps firm to help with marketing
Visit Newport Beach, the city’s visitors bureau, has selected a new marketing firm.
MMGY Global, a travel marketing firm with offices across the U.S., will create the group’s strategic marketing plan with branding, advertising and promotional components, according to a news release last week. The firm will also expand Visit Newport’s online presence and work to digitally integrate its marketing materials.
Selected through an RFP process, MMGY will have a contract for a year and a half, according to Visit Newport Spokeswoman Caroline Bruderer.
Visit Newport is funded primarily by the city’s hotel tax revenues and had a marketing budget of $1.9 million for fiscal year 2011-12, according to its annual marketing plan.
