City wrapping up park’s art installations
Heisler Park’s art installations are in their final phases.
Artists Scott and Naomi Schoenherr have designed two benches and a sculptural element, which will be installed north of the amphitheater, according to a city memo. All the pieces are made from bronze, red mountain flag stone and ceramic, according to the city.
A sculpture titled “Time Connected” will be in a planter at the entrance of the sculpture garden. The benches, “Continuous Rotation” and “Tidal Pull” will be near the shuffleboard court area.
The artists were finalists in the 2010 Art in Public Places competition.
The installations are scheduled to be complete by Friday.
