An Anaheim parolee was arrested Wednesday after an officer reportedly discovered he had cash and drugs.

Marco Antonio Rodriguez, 25, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to sell and intent to transport drugs.

According to Sgt. Robert Rahaeuser, an officer pulled over Rodriguez at 12:51 p.m. during a traffic stop.

The officer learned he was a parolee and was driving on a suspended license. While talking, the officer noticed a large bulge in Rodriguez’s front pant pocket, which turned out to contain $6,000 in cash, Rahaeuser said.

Rodriguez was a day laborer making about $300 a week and couldn’t come up with a rational explanation for the large sum of cash, Rahaeuser said.

During a pat-down, the officer reportedly discovered an ounce of methamphetamine hidden in his underwear.
