Wave Rider Cafe opens at Thurston

Thurston Middle School’s Wave Rider Café opened May 30 during the Laguna Beach school’s open house.

According to a news release, the café is designed to efficiently offer nutritious, healthy lunches while reducing the wait in line. Students will also have the opportunity to select nutritious and delicious grab-and-go food, it said.

Assistant Supt. of Business Services Dean West said in the release that a lot of planning and hard work went into bringing this project to fruition, including the support of outside sources.
