Sapphire brings in Italian chef for harvest dinner
An award-winning Italian chef will join Sapphire Laguna executive chef and owner Azmin Ghahreman to prepare a five-course Italian harvest dinner at the South Coast Highway restaurant next week.
Fabrizio Schenardi, executive chef at the Four Seasons Hotel in St. Louis, will share dishes inspired from northern Italy, including duck mortadella, ricotta and veal ravioli, and roasted wild boar shank with polenta. Guests are welcome from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Thursday at Sapphire, 1200 S. Coast Hwy., Laguna Beach, according to a news release.
Sapphire’s new general manager, Ray Gonzalez, and wine manager Michael Magsaysay will help guests choose ideal wine pairings for their meal, which costs $75 per adult and $35 per child.
Prices do not include beverage, tax or gratuity.
“I’m looking forward to cooking with chef Fabrizio. It’s been 10 years since we’ve had the pleasure of sharing the kitchen,” Ghahreman said in the release.
Schenardi has prepared meals at some of the world’s top hotels and resorts, including the Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills, the St. Regis Monarch Beach in Dana Point and the Four Seasons Resort in Maui, the release said.
Space is limited and reservations are recommended. Call (949) 715-9888 or visit https://www.sapphirellc.com.
