IRVINE — Hayley Hodson had 12 kills to help lead the Sea Kings to a 25-6, 25-11, 25-10 Pacific Coast League win Tuesday.
Annie Colombo had four kills, Paige Fauntleroy added four aces and Paige Migliori amassed 25 assists for CdM (16-4, 6-0 in league), ranked No. 6 in CIF Southern Section Divison 1-AA.

Sage Hill def. Oxford Academy
CYPRESS — Senior opposite Sophie Gordon had 11 kills and 12 digs to help lead the Lightning to a 25-15, 25-6, 25-21 Academy League win Tuesday.
Junior outside hitter Halland McKenna had 11 kills and six digs and senior middle blocker Juliette Singarella had nine kills for Sage Hill (18-4, 8-0 in league), ranked No. 1 in CIF Southern Secdtion Division 3-A.
The Lightning play at Whitney Wednesday at 5 p.m.

Sunset League finals
LONG BEACH — Newport Harbor sophomore Grace Ferrell shot one-over-par 74 Tuesday at Recreation Park Golf Course to finish runner-up and advance to the CIF Southern Section Southern Individual Regional.
Ferrell shot even-par 37 Monday at Lakewood Golf Course. She medaled in nine of the 10 matches in league this season and earned the Sunset League Most Valuable Player honor. She’s Newport Harbor’s first league MVP in 10 years in girls’ golf, Sailors Coach Scott Tarnow said.
Sophomore Tehya Corona (48-93-141) did not advance but earned second-team all-league honors.
Edison senior Jennifer Yu (35-69-104) won the league finals.

Orange Coast League finals
Estancia senior Denise Casillas finished fourth Tuesday and grabbed the final qualifying spot to advance to the CIF Southern Section Southern Individual Regional.
Casillas shot 50 on the par 35 of nine holes at Costa Mesa Country Club’s Mesa Linda course Monday. She then shot 93 on the par-70 for the 18 holes Tuesday.
Calvary Chapel senior Natalie Mattison (35-76-111) won the OCL title, while Laguna Beach junior Mary Kate Quellmalz (46-90-136) and Jackie McMahon (52-87-139) also advanced.
The Southern Individual Regional takes place Monday at Mile Square Golf Course in Fountain Valley.
Estancia junior Rhe Wilburn (54-92-146) finished fifth and earned first-team all-league honors for placing in the top six.
Estancia senior Michelle Becerra (53-105-158) was eighth, junior Laura Morel (54-106-160) was 10th and Jennifer Torres (54-111-165) was 12th to earn second-team all-league honors.

Pacific Coast League finals
CORONA — Corona del Mar High’s Amy Matsuoka and Alyaa Abdulghany both shot even-par 70 to advance to the final day at Dos Lagos Golf Course.
The duo will need to finish in the top seven to advance to the CIF Southern Section Southern Individual Regional, which takes place Monday at Mile Square Golf Course in Fountain Valley.
Matsuoka and Abdulghany are two strokes behind the leader Ellen Takada of University. Tuesday’s cut to move on to Wednesday was 86.
Gabby Finear (92), Kelley King (98) and Lauren Nakamura (95) also competed for CdM.

FIELD HOCKEY
Newport Harbor 1, Huntington Beach 0
Senior Elizabeth Muenchow scored the game-winner for the Sailors in the Sunset League game at Davidson Field Tuesday.
Junior captain Jordan Blanchfield assisted on the goal.
Senior goalkeeper Cailynn Smethurst had one save for Newport Harbor (7-2 in league), which finished second in the Sunset League.
Sophie Templin, Allana Rockwell and Jenna Nulty contributed with oustanding play, Sailors Coach Amanda Boyer said.
Newport Harbor plays host to a quarterfinal game of the Los Angeles Field Hockey Assn. Tournament of Champions on Monday.

GIRLS’ TENNIS
Newport Harbor 14, Huntington Beach 4
Anna Burke and Kendall Cosenza swept at No. 1 doubles for the host Sailors in the Sunset League match Tuesday.
Peyton Espley-Jones swept at No. 2 singles and the No. 3 doubles team Olivia Zehnder and Elle Zielinski won two of three sets for Newport Harbor (12-7, 6-2 in league).

Corona del Mar 9, Irvine 4
IRVINE — Senior Matt Sherburne scored five goals for the Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League game Tuesday.
Senior Jay Neiger added two goals, while junior Ashton Jajonie and sophomore Ben Brooks scored one goal each for CdM, ranked No. 9 in CIF Southern Section Division 1.
Senior goalie Ryan Hamm made nine saves and junior Nigel Bress had one save for the Sea Kings.
