People who have seen coyotes roaming in their neighborhoods are encouraged to attend the meeting.

Three Yorkshire terriers were taken from backyards in the past three weeks, according to police.

The first attack occurred July 18 in the 3100 block of Bern Drive. The owner last saw her two dogs the previous night before going to bed. The dogs were missing the following day and police found coyote feces, blood and fur nearby.

The second incident took place in the 2700 block of Temple Hills Drive early July 25. The owner let his dog into the backyard to exercise but discovered it was missing shortly after.

No people have reported being attacked, police said.
