Police seek Sunset Beach man in riot case

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a man believed to have participated in the U.S. Open of Surfing disturbance July 28, according to a Facebook post from Huntington Beach police.

Authorities are looking for 20-year-old Eli Reuven Jackson, a transient whose last known address is Sunset Beach. He allegedly participated in several acts of vandalism and “riotous” behavior, according to the statement. Jackson also goes by the name Eliyahu Jackson.

According to authorities, the suspect was identified by his family and an arrest warrant was issued Friday.

If arrested, Jackson would become the 10th suspect booked in relation to the scuffle after the U.S. Open.
