Greer’s OC: Check out Analog
Are you hunting for cool, music-related artifacts in Orange County?
Look no farther. The OC Mart Mix in Costa Mesa just debuted Analog, which specializes in handmade items that celebrate sound and art. It’s a new resource for one-of-a-kind products, local art, hard-to-find boutique music equipment, and handmade accessories.
Analog is the brainchild of Alex Forsythe, who founded the concept that speaks to musicians and sound enthusiasts looking for found objects. Forsythe’s company, Walldogs, creates advertising murals on buildings in Los Angeles, most recently portraits of Clippers’ players on the Hotel Figueroa.
Analog is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays; and noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays. The Mix is at 3313 Hyland Ave.. For more information, visit https://www.theocmartmix.com/analog.

Tanya bakes up Tasty Tempting Treats
After years of baking whoopies, meringue kisses and other sweets for friends while running a commercial stone design company, Tanya von Mittenwald finally closed her business to dedicate time to her real passion: baking.
She recently launched Irvine-based Tasty Tempting Treats by Tanya, where she bakes old-fashioned favorites combined with current trends in flavors and the season. Tanya’s signature is the whoopie pie, which some could argue is the better parts of a cupcake, just the frosting and cake shaped into a cookie.
She takes a traditional whoopie pie and puts her spin on it, offering red velvet with cream cheese filling, stout cake with milk chocolate filling, black currant with absinthe filling, dark chocolate truffle with mint filling, and blood orange with lemon curd filling.
A set of 10 whoopie big pies costs $30. Other sweet treats include Raspberry lemon cake, chocolate truffle cake, meringue kisses, bourbon pecan pie tassies, and shortbread cookies.
All products can be shipped in one to two business days. Deliveries are only on Wednesday through Saturday unless arranged in advanced. Orange County deliveries are available Mondays through Saturdays.

DVF at SCP
One of our favorite fashion icons of all time, Diane Von Furstenberg, just opened her first namesake Orange County boutique at South Coast Plaza. The DVF store carries a full line of ready to wear, shoes and fabulous accessories.
Unlike many designers, Diane Von Furstenberg only offers ready to wear, making it a much more accessible label to all; there aren’t any high-end couture pieces.
Her signature wrap dress and printed flirty silhouettes are available in spring pastels, bursts of color, white, navy, black and even aubergine. Her designs will make any woman feel and look incredible, plus there’s a full range of complimentary accessories and shoes too.
The store is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday; 10 a.m to 8 p.m. on Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. DVF is on Level 1 in the Saks Fifth Avenue wing at South Coast Plaza, 3333 S. Bristol St., Costa Mesa. For more information, call (714) 312-5480.
