The Sage Hill School girls’ basketball team defeated Riverside Hillcrest 75-47 on Wednesday to continue its hot start in the Villa Park Tournament.

Emily Eadie recorded her second double-double in as many games, going for 27 points to go with 11 rebounds, five assists and three blocked shots.

Kat Righeimer had 14 points and five rebounds. Zoie Lamkin added 15 points, five rebounds, four steals and three assists, and Isabel Gomez provided 15 points, five assists, four rebounds, two steals and two blocks.

In the season opener for the Lightning on Monday, Eadie contributed 21 points, 19 rebounds, four assists and three steals. Sage Hill came away with a 55-34 win over Los Alamitos.

Sage Hill (2-0) will face Orange Lutheran (2-0) on Friday at 4:30 p.m. as tournament play continues.

Laguna Beach 42, Santa Ana 34: Kate Cheng had a team-high 16 points to go with 13 rebounds, three steals and two blocks, as the host Breakers picked up their first win of the season in a nonleague game on Wednesday.

Sophie Marriner had nine points and 15 rebounds for Laguna Beach (1-1). Elaina Seybold added five points, 14 rebounds and two blocks, and Sabrina Yang chipped in with six assists, five rebounds.
