A 178-246 victory over visiting Costa Mesa Tuesday at Ben Brown’s Golf Course (par 32) put the finishing touches on a undefeated Orange Coast League season for the Laguna Beach High boys’ golf team.

Drake Dvorak shot even-par 32 to take match medalist honors, and Laguna completed a 9-0 record in league play. Scott Finn said it was the team’s first undefeated run through league play in his 12 years coaching the program.

Laguna, 12-3 overall, won its first OCL title since 2010.

“The guys finished out the year strong with all five of our scores in the 30s,” Finn said.

“We set the goal to win a league championship at the beginning of the year. It’s very rewarding as a coach to see our players set goals and not only meet them but exceed them”
