Briefs: Lewis wins fourth race of season

Michael Lewis of Laguna Beach earned his fourth win of the season Sunday in the International Motor Sports Assn. Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Tex.

Lewis, who raced at Circuit of The Americas for the first time, earned the pole positions for both of his races on Sept. 19 with a first- and second-place finish. He currently is one point behind first position in the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama points standings.

Lewis next will compete at the final two races of the series at Road Atlanta for the Petit Le Mans starting next Thursday .

Registration open for Surf City event

Registration is underway for the 19th annual Surf City USA Marathon & Half Marathon.

The annual event is Feb. 1 (Super Bowl Sunday) on Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach. The race draws more than 21,000 participants each year and serves as a qualifying race for the Boston Marathon.
