Folker helps lead UCI to win

STOCKTON — Junior center Adam Folker hit the go-ahead basket and notched his first career double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds for the Anteaters in a Big West Conference game Thursday night.
Folker, who was 6 of 9 from the floor, scored with 65 seconds left on a layup off an assist from Derick Flowers to give UCI the lead for good at 71-69. Flowers then added two free throws with 11.2 seconds remaining as the Anteaters won in Stockton for the first time in five years.
Junior forward Michael Wilder had 18 points and 10 boards for his fourth career double-double as UCI improved to 5-10 overall and 2-1 in the Big West. Freshman center Mike Best scored 14 points. Flowers had eight assists and seven points.
