RIVERSIDE — The host Lancers upset the top-ranked Anteaters, 22-25, 19-25, 25-16, 25-22, 15-13, in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match Wednesday.
Junior Jeremy Dejno led UCI (4-2, 1-2 in conference) with 21 kills, while Kevin Tillie had 15 and Connor Hughes 11.
UCI hit .282 as a team, but Cal Baptist (3-1, 1-0), in its first season in the MPSF, hit .359.
Both teams had five aces and UCI had a 7-6 advantage in team blocks.
Guilherme Koepp had 21 kills for the winners.
UCI, which has lost two straight matches, visits BYU on Friday.

Santa Ana 76, Orange Coast 66
COSTA MESA — The host Pirates made just five of 30 three-point attempts (16.7%) in the Orange Empire Conference game Wednesday.
Kimo Wakim led the Pirates (9-10, 0-4 in conference) with 12 points, while John Joyce and Chris Nelson added 10 apiece.
Daniel Dedeaux had 10 rebounds and five points for OCC, which created 24 turnovers and committed 21.
Santa Ana (12-6, 2-2) had five players score in double figures and had 20 assists on 26 field goals.
