CORONA DEL MAR — Alex Musselman recorded 14 saves and had two assists for the No. 3-seeded Sea Kings in the CIF Southern Section Division I first-round game Wednesday.
Diana Murphy led CdM (20-7) with four goals, while Cassidy Papa and Allie McCormick added three goals each. Pippa Saunders had five assists and two goals.
The Sea Kings will play host to Santa Barbara in a quarterfinal game scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
CdM led, 8-2, after three periods.

NEWPORT BEACH — Junior Maddy McLaren had three goals and four steals in her return from injuries that kept her out since Feb. 3.
Presley Pender also had three goals for the No. 4-seeded Sailors (23-5) in the CIF Southern Section Division I first-round game Wednesday.
Mary Rose Wight and Kailyn Obenauer had two goals each, while goalie Sarah Wilkey anchored the defense with eight saves.
Newport Harbor will play at Laguna Beach in a quarterfinal Friday at 4:15 p.m.

COSTA MESA — Senior Andrew Albers scored 11 points to lead the Mustangs, who were eliminated from the postseason after the CIF Southern Section Division V-AA first-round game Wednesday.
Junior Jordan Walden had 10 points and junior Nick Dawson added nine points for the Mustangs, who end the season at 11-16.

SANTA MONICA — Senior Mark Loper scored 21 points in his final game for the Lightning in a CIF Southern Section Division V-AA first-round game Wednesday.
Senior Nick Ramming had 14 points and freshman Jack Williamson added eight points for Sage Hill, which ended the season at 14-12.
