NEWPORT BEACH — Sailors senior Sierra Michaelsen scored the game-winning goal with 40 seconds left in the nonleague game Thursday.
Sophomore Kirsten Rohan notched her first assist of the season, when she fed Michaelsen, who had two goals and one assist.
Senior Chelsie Delameter had three goals and two assists and Amanda Olevsky had two goals and one assist, while Delaney McCardle and Stephanie Storch scored two goals each for Newport Harbor (4-2).
Storch also had seven groundballs and caused three turnovers, while Laura Calvillo had six groundballs and caused three turnovers.

ALISO NIGUEL — Mark Sakioka tied a school record in the pole vault, winning the event with a clearance of 15 feet, 7 inches for the Sailors in the nonleague tri-meet Thursday.
Sakioka’s mark tied RW Hensen, who set the record 23 years ago, Newport Harbor Coach Eric Tweit said.
Titus Hassan won the 100 meters in 11.1 seconds and the 200 in 22.9.
Ryan Andrews led a Newport Harbor sweep in the shot put. His mark of 59-5 1/2 is No. 1 in Orange County, Tweit said. Steve Michaelsen (55-7) took second and Trevor Lawrence (55-5), bound for UC Irvine, was third.
Ethan Cochran won the discus (169-9) and Javier Venegas was second (155-1), throwing five feet further than his previous best.
Asa Lohr won the long jump (20 feet, 2 inches).

NEWPORT BEACH — Sea Kings junior Brian Mull shot one-under-par 34 over nine holes to capture medalist honors in the Pacific Coast League opener Thursday at Newport Beach Country Club.
Tanner Trauthen (37), Mike Moorhead (39), Ryan Grable (39), Chase Wheatley (40) and Karick Brown (40) also contributed for CdM (6-1, 1-0 in league).
Beckman is 4-1, 0-1.

HUNTINGTON BEACH — Junior Jake Knapp shot a three-under-par 32 and earned medalist honors in an Orange Coast League match at Meadowlark Golf Club Thursday, helping the Eagles remain undefeated.
Aaron Wood finished with a 36 for the Eagles (6-0, 4-0 in league). Courtland Lee had a 37, and Davin Ortiz and Ryan Quinlan each had 38s.

IRVINE — The Lightning’s Ahmed Eltamami shared medalist honors after shooting three-over-par 39 in the nonleague match Thursday at Strawberry Farms Golf Course.
Eltamami tied with David Peng, William Jiang and Max Pelekoudes of University.
Sage Hill is 1-1. University is 6-1.

ALISO NIGUEL — Kasey Thompson was a double winner for the Sailors in the nonleague tri-meet Thursday.
Thompson won the shot put (31 feet, 9 inches) and the discus (100-9).
Paige Tennison won the 1,600 meters in 5 minutes, 19.5 seconds, Alexis Kunkle was first in the high jump (5 feet) and Allison Krugman won the pole vault (10-6).
