Four Pirates honored
Orange Coast College men’s volleyball standouts Cody Martin and Johannes Brink earned first-team honors to lead four Pirates named All-Pacific Coast Conference by coaches.
Brink, a 6-foot-8 sophomore opposite, led the Pirates with 288 kills to go along with 76 digs and 43 total blocks. He helped OCC advance to the Southern California Regional playoffs for the eighth straight year.
Brink has committed to continue his career at Cal Baptist.
Martin, a 6-1 freshman outside hitter, posted 215 kills and a .310 hitting percentage to help the Pirates forge a 12-7 record. Bound for Long Beach State, he was second on the team with 90 digs and fourth on the squad with 38 total blocks.
Sophomore middle blocker Austin Bagby, a Newport Harbor High product, earned second-team recognition for the second straight season. He had 91 kills, and a team-best 47 total blocks in 10 matches this season.
Sophomore libero Scott Enos, who led the Pirates with 95 digs, was a third-team honoree.
