IRVINE — Sydney Wright led all players with a career-high 14 kills to lead the Anteaters to a 25-12, 25-17, 25-22 Big West Conference sweep Saturday night at the Bren Events Center.

Marisa Bubica had 11 kills, two aces and five blocks, Shannon Fleming had 10 kills, Ella Rosenfeld added a match-leading seven block assists, Marissa Alvarez had 33 assists and nine digs, and Kristin Winkler had 11 digs and two aces for (7-8, 2-0 in conference).

Cal Poly is 1-12, 0-2.

The Master’s def. Vanguard

COSTA MESA — Rachael Barker had 18 kills to lead the Lions, but No. 13-ranked The Master’s won the Golden State Athletic Conference match, 25-18, 21-25, 25-22, 20-25, 15-11, Saturday.

Jessica Neves and Charlotte Heerlyn added 11 kills each, Kendall Haldi and Sarah McKinny had nine each, Carly Maxwell had 56 assists and Kelly Heenan had 34 digs for Vanguard (9-8, 1-2 in conference).

Sam Dougherty had a match-high 22 kills for The Master’s (15-2, 2-1).

COSTA MESA — Andrew Sullivan scored the game-winner in the 94th minute for the Lions in the nonconference match Saturday.

Brandon Castle and Kelvin Fares were credited for the assist.

Goalie Luca Licciardi had two saves in his shutout for Vanguard (2-5-1).

Cal State San Marcos is 1-4-2.

COSTA MESA — The host Lions erased a 1-0 deficit to force overtime, but a goal less than two minutes into overtime ended the nonconference contest Saturday.

Amanda Couch converted a penalty kick in the 33rd minute to pull No. 12-ranked Vanguard (4-2) even.

Vanguard had an 9-7 advantage in shots.

San Marcos (5-2-1) is ranked No. 17.

Orange Coast 5, Santa Ana 0

COSTA MESA — The Pirates scored all their goals in the final 39 minutes of the Orange Empire Conference game Friday.

Sophomore forward Jessica Amaral contributed two goals and one assist to pace OCC (6-2, 2-2 in conference).

Sara Gomez, Sarah MacArthur and Devin Broederlow added goals for the winners, who received six saves from Emily Harrier to preserve the shutout.
