Breakdown: Sage Hill (4-0) moved up a spot to No. 6 in the CIF Southern Section East Valley Division rankings this week … It’s the highest the Lightning have been ranked this season … Viewpoint (2-1), coming off a 36-15 loss to Villanova Prep, is listed among others receiving votes in the Northeast Division … The game matches two big-play running backs in Ross and Markun, both of whom are averaging at least nine yards per carry … Viewpoint’s two wins already exceed its total from the past two years, when the Patriots were a combined 1-17 … Sage Hill beat Viewpoint last year, 40-26, in a penalty-marred game, after which Viewpoint Coach Patrick Marquez called some of the Lightning players “bush league.” Viewpoint, however, has a new head coach in Chris Adamson.
