NEWPORT BEACH — Cinnamon Sary had 10 kills and seven digs to help the Sailors win the Sunset League match, 25-15, 25-22, 25-12, Friday.

Hunter Jennings had seven aces, Tatum Norton had nine digs and Kasey Thompson and Carolyn Bockrath had eight kills each for Newport Harbor (15-6, 4-3 in league).

Play at Los Al on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.

Central Orange County tournament

SANTA ANA — Paul Sugano-Dyson scored 11 total goals to lead the Eagles to pool-play wins over Santa Ana Valley, 15-10, and Cypress, 8-5, Friday at Santa Ana Valley.

The Eagles (8-11) won their pool and will play in the semifinals Saturday morning.

Derek Andrews scored three goals and Garrett Hensheid had 11 saves against Santa Ana Valley.

Sugano-Dyson had six goals against Santa Ana Valley and five against Cypress.

Sage Hill 17, Whitney 1

NEWPORT BEACH — Senior Ava Soleimany swept at No. 2 doubles without dropping a game for the Lightning in the Academy League match Friday at the Tennis Club Newport Beach.

Junior Liana Korber swept at No. 1 singles, losing just two games. Sage Hill (12-3, 6-2 in league) swept in doubles.

Mt. SAC Invitational

WALNUT — Dylan Thies finished 25th in 16 minutes, 34 seconds to help the Sage Hill boys take sixth in the sweepstakes race Friday at Mt. Antonio College.

Sophia Witte was 33rd in 21:16 to help the Lightning girls finish 10th.
