BUENA PARK — Sophomore guard Nick Sargeant scored 18 points, hitting three three-pointers, for the Sailors in the Buena Park tournament pool-play game Thursday.

Senior guard Chance Beauchamp added 16 points for Newport Harbor (2-0), which plays against Bellflower in a semifinal Friday at 7:30 p.m.

SANTA ANA — Senior center Rashad Davis scored 12 points for the Eagles in a silver bracket quarterfinal of the Godinez tournament Thursday.

Senior forward Lucas Pereira had 11 points, sophomore guard Martin Harry had nine points and senior guard Kevin Carvajal scored eight points for Estancia (2-1), which plays Friday at 3:15 p.m.

Sage Hill 77, Public Safety Academy 34

SAN BERNARDINO — Senior forward Chris Zadra scored 18 points to lead the Lightning in the nonleague game Thursday.

Senior forward Ford Hanour added 14 points and junior guard Darren Chen had 12 points for Sage Hill (1-1).

The Lightning play host to Calvary Chapel Downey Saturday at 6 p.m.

NEWPORT COAST — Meg Crade had two assists for the Lightning in the nonleague game Thursday.

Maddie Culberson, Allie Mowrey and Noosha Deravi scored one goal each, while Francesca D’Agostino had an assist for Sage Hill (1-1).

Newport Harbor 30, Brethren Christian 29

CORONA DEL MAR — Sophomore Jennifer Lopez scored nine points on three three-pointers to go with five rebounds and three steals for the Sailors in a fifth-place semifinal of the CdM Tip-Off Tournament Thursday.

Junior Halle McClain (10 rebounds), sophomore Bela Raimondi (six rebounds) and junior Kirsten Rohan (two steals) scored five points each for Newport Harbor (2-1).

Senior Kasey Thompson did not play and was on a volleyball recruiting trip at Hawaii Pacific University, Sailors Coach Justin Long said.

Newport Harbor plays against Westminster for fifth place Saturday at 4 p.m. at Northwood.

San Juan Hills 39, Estancia 26

CORONA DEL MAR — Sophomore Celia Duran had 10 points and Gianna Jason added seven for the Eagles in the fifth-place semifinal of the Corona del Mar Tip-off Tournament on Thursday at CdM.

Estancia (1-2) plays for seventh place on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Northwood High.
