Orange Coast 72, Riverside 67

RIVERSIDE – The visiting Pirates rallied from a 35-28 halftime deficit to hand the Tigers their first Orange Empire Conference loss on Wednesday.

Freshman Davaysia Hagger had 18 points and 15 rebounds to lead OCC (4-11, 2-1 in conference), which shot 56.2% from the field.

Hagger made eight of 14 field-goal tries, while Deion Page (six for 10 from the field) and Brad Buchignani (five for eight) added 17 and 12 points, respectively.

RCC fell to 7-11, 2-1.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Riverside 85, Orange Coast 59

RIVERSIDE – Sophomore Jasmine Matar had 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead the visiting Pirates in the Orange Empire Conference game Wednesday.

Nicole Beaudoin had 10 points, six assists and four rebounds for OCC (3-14, 0-3 in conference), which shot 26.1% from the field.

Riverside (13-6, 2-1) shot 60.3% from the field to overcome a 21-9 turnover deficit.
