Volunteers needed for Toshiba Classic

The Toshiba Classic, part of the Champions Tour, is accepting applications for volunteers for its 20th anniversary tournament at Newport Beach Country Club March 10 through 16.

Last year, up to 800 volunteers participated on one of 30 different committees, which included marshals, admissions and will call, walking scorers, and standard bearers. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old and there is a two-day minimum commitment.

Most volunteer opportunities are for tournament play days on March 14-16. A first-year volunteer registration fee is $75 and $20 for returning volunteers. The fee includes a tournament uniform, meal tickets, and access to the tournament and volunteer village.
