College Roundup: OCC’s Valentine medalist in golf team’s win at Saboba

SAN JACINTO — Orange Coast College’s Myles Valentine shot a four-under-par 68 to help lead the Pirates to the win Wednesday at Saboba Springs Golf Course.

OCC finished with 359 (one under), followed by Riverside (361) and third-place Santa Barbara (367).

MISSION VIEJO — Deion Page led four Pirates in double figures with 15 points in the Orange Empire Conference game Wednesday.

Henry Nguyen made three of four three-pointer attempts and scored 13, while Brad Buchignani (11) and Davasyia Hagger (10) also scored in double digits for the visiting Pirates (8-15, 6-5 in conference).

Former UC Irvine player Connor Clifford made all nine field-goal tries to lead the Gauchos with 18 points and seven rebounds.

Saddleback (28-2, 11-1) finalized its fourth straight OEC title.
