PALOS VERDES — Bjorn Hoffmann, Ryan Andrews and Josh Kliger swept in singles for the Sea Kings in Tuesday’s nonleague match on the road.
Carson Williams and Johnny Rone also swept at No. 1 doubles for CdM (2-0).
CdM plays host to Palos Verdes on Thursday in a key nonleague match.

Newport Harbor 11, Mater Dei 7
Junior Reese Stalder and sophomore Gavin Leonard each won two singles sets before being subbed out of Tuesday’s nonleague match at Newport Harbor High.
Seniors Sean Perrier and Garrett Byers, as well as junior David Schaefer and freshman Mark Schaefer, also won twice in doubles before they were subbed out.
Newport Harbor also won its season opener Monday at Sunny Hills, 12-6. Stalder swept at No. 1 singles, as did Perrier and Byers at No. 1 doubles.
The Sailors (2-0) play against Woodbridge and Sage Hill in a round-robin tournament beginning Friday at The Tennis Club Newport Beach.

Parker Reposa, Harrison Rhee and Kellen Ochi delivered two hits each to help lead the Lightning to their season-opening win Tuesday at Sage Hill.

LAGUNA NIGUEL — Senior Brad Tapfer was medalist for the Sailors after shooting one-under-par 35 in the nonleague season opener Tuesday at El Niguel Country Club.
Landon Knight (38), Danny Willett (40), Thomas Perry (41) and Connor Davison (44) also scored for the Sailors, who face Dana Hills again Wednesday at Santa Ana.

LAGUNA BEACH — Clay Carr recorded 16 kills for the Sailors, who were swept, 25-19, 25-19, 25-21, in their season opener Tuesday night.
Davis Hanscom amassed 27 assists and Nic Sargeant finished with eight digs for Newport Harbor (0-1).

Jason Chesemore won two events for the Eagles in the nonleague meet Tuesday.
He won the 200-yard freestyle in 2 minutes, 5.6 seconds and the 100 free in 56.20.
Kyle Fitzgerald won the 50 free in 25.5, Chris Defrenza touched first in the 100 fly in 1:11.4 and Eli Sperling won the 500 free in 6:33.56.
