Women’s Basketball: UCI’s Fajemisin honored

UC Irvine sophomore Mokun Fajemisin has been named second-team All-Big West Conference in women’s basketball.

The 6-foot forward averaged 12.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game in the regular season. In 16 conference games, she averaged 12.9 points, 8.4 rebounds and a conference-leading 2.1

She shot 45% from the field against Big West competition.

She ranked ninth in scoring, second in rebounding and eighth in field-goal percentage among Big West players in conference games.

After an 80-71 loss to UC Davis in the first round of the Big West Tournament on Tuesday, UCI finished its season 8-24.
