OMAHA, Neb. — The visiting Anteaters were outshot, 17-9, and dropped their second straight nonconference clash on Sunday.

Daniel Crisostomo was the lone UCI player with more than one shot, managing two.

No. 3-ranked Creighton (4-0) scored twice in the first 9:35 and led, 3-0, at halftime.

The Anteaters (1-2) play at San Diego on Friday at 7 p.m.

Rio Grande 3, Vanguard 1

RIO GRANDE, Ohio — The No. 8-ranked Lions scored first, but fell to the No. 5-ranked host in a nonconference match on Saturday.

Jesus Fregoso scored in the 36th minute to break a scoreless tie, whcih proved to be the only shot on goal among three shots for the Lions (3-1).

Rio Grande improved to 5-0.

Vanguard plays host to Antelope Valley on Thursday at 4 p.m.
