UC Irvine unveils new Bren Center court design on Instagram

UC Irvine Athletics revealed the new design on the Bren Events Center floor Tuesday morning and fans can view the new look via the official Instagram account of UCI Athletics at https://instagram.com/uciathletics.

The new design was disclosed in a puzzle of six images with one image being displayed every 20 minutes until the full photo was created.

The court was designed in collaboration with Torch Creative, a design firm based in Dallas, Texas, which also created the new UC Irvine Athletics wordmark featured on the baselines.

“We wanted to keep the design simple and classic, but with a modern edge, and I definitely think we achieved that,” said Michael Izzi, UCI’s Director of Athletics.

The Bren Events Center is home court for the UCI basketball and volleyball programs.
