Marisa Bubica recorded a match-high 19 kills to help lead the Anteaters to a 26-24, 21-25, 25-15, 25-19 Big West Conference victory Friday night at UCI.

Cassidy Pickrell had 15 kills and Aly Squires had 11 kills, seven digs and three block assists, while Shannon Fleming had a personal-best .636 hitting percentage to go with six block assists and a match-high four aces for UCI (10-10, 1-5 in conference).

Shelley Anderson had 46 assists and 13 digs and Arden Davis had 12 digs for the Anteaters.

The Highlanders are 1-16, 0-5.

Irvine Valley def. Orange Coast

IRVINE — Sierra Brown led the Pirates with 14 kills, but the Lasers won the Orange Empire Conference match, 25-15, 25-20, 25-23, Friday night.

Hayley Martin had 10 kills, Carina Perez had 18 digs, Kiana Nicio had 12 digs and Megan Ritchie amassed 37 assists for OCC (7-3, 2-3) ranked No. 15 in the state.

IVC, ranked No. 5 in the state, is 11-0, 5-0.
