Where/When: 7 p.m. Friday at Davidson Field.

Key Patriots: Jr. QB Nick Hill (6 feet, 180 pounds); Sr. WR/OLB Mikael Mian (6-foot-1, 175 pounds); Sr. LB Justin Cheng (three-year letterman).

Key Sea Kings: Sr. QB Nathaniel Espinoza (66 of 99 passing for 1,006 yards, 10 TDs, and one INT; 53 carries for 242 yards and three TDs); Sr. WR TaeVeon Le (24 catches for 464 yards and six TDs); Jr. WR/FS Jack Elliott (19 tackles, five passes defensed, and two INTs).

Breakdown: Corona del Mar High football coach Dan O’Shea is 10-0 in Pacific Coast League games. In a larger sample size, CdM has won 25 consecutive league contests, dating back to a 42-37 loss to Irvine Beckman in the 2011 regular-season finale … There isn’t much to support the notion that CdM’s winning streak will end in Friday night’s league opener. Harvard commit TaeVeon Le and 6-foot-5 sophomore John Humphreys make for a dynamic two-pronged attack on the outside for quarterback Nathaniel Espinoza. The senior signal-caller is not bad as a runner, either … The Sea Kings (4-1) have won four straight since dropping their opener against San Juan Capistrano JSerra. The Patriots are 1-4. All-in-all, we are not forecasting the upset in this one.
