High School Boys’ Basketball Roundup: Sage Hill reaches Los Amigos Tournament semis

Junior center Johnny King finished with 19 points, leading the Sage Hill School boys’ basketball team to a 75-56 win over Estancia in its second game in the Los Amigos Tournament at Pacifica High on Tuesday.

The Lightning (2-1) made 12 three-pointers, advancing to the semifinals to play Pacifica at Los Amigos High on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Sage Hill’s Ryan Hosseinzadeh had 12 points and Justin Lin added 11.

Freshman guard Cooper Green contributed 11 points and nine rebounds off the bench for the Lightning.

Senior forward Jackson Winters led Estancia (4-2) with 12 points.

Newport Harbor 75, Bolsa Grande 48

Senior guard Zack Swies’ 18 points helped the Sailors win their pool and advance to the gold bracket quarterfinals of the Grizzly Invitational at Godinez High on Tuesday.

The Sailors (2-0) will next play either Capistrano Valley, the CIF Southern Section Division 2A champion in 2016-17, or Long Beach Wilson on Thursday.

Newport Harbor’s Robbie Spooner finished with 15 points and Elijah Firey had 12 points.

Diamond Ranch 79, Pacifica Christian Orange County 51

The Tritons dropped their second game in a row in the Jim Harris Classic at Ocean View High on Tuesday.

Pacifica Christian (0-2) plays Lakewood in the tournament at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
